They say that blind people's other senses grow stronger to compensate. That's why if I ever play a blind team I'm going to ask for them to spot me some points to even things up.

Those dogs that catch and return the disc look like fun but I don't think I would enjoy it unless the dog had no saliva glands. How about it science?

p.s. if the dog glowed like a Moonlighter that would be a bonus! But, no pressure, the spit thing would still be cool.

If I was teaching kids the game, I wouldn't try to cover slag cheers in just a single lesson - it's far too rich a subject.

As I see my children getting into Ultimate at the same time as my game grows steadily weaker - I think about how soon I will pass on the torch for them to carry. Stupid torch - lets see how well they play running with it.

I was amazed to find that spitting on an opponent is actually against the rules rather than simply not recommended. Makes you wonder if the members of the rules committee actually play the game.

Some guys feel threatened by strong female players on their team. Not me. Although I do sometimes feel threatened by strong male players telling me to stop threatening their strong female player wives.

If I was a knight laying siege to a castle I'd organize an Ultimate tourney right outside the castle walls. After the tourney was over I guess I'd have to start worrying about the siege again.

When I first started playing Ultimate, I used to let poor SOTG really get to me. But then I said to myself "What do you care if you have rotten Spirit?". Then I felt much better.

I heard that around 47% of our league is female. It's incredible that I'm as good as I am when I only have just over half the people playing to throw to.

If you put little bells on the disc then it would be possible for blind people to play Ultimate. But then I bet the deaf people would want a similar concession and then where would we be.

If a rookie comes up to me and says "This may be a stupid question but .." I interupt them and say "There are no stupid questions in Ultimate, only stupid rookies". That way we both get something from the conversation.
